Multi-Generation Dentistry

With over three decades of experience in the Oshawa area, we often see the children and grandchildren of our first patients. We see patients of all ages, including toddlers. Thanks to a wide range of general dentistry, restorative treatments and cosmetic services, you can make one appointment for your entire family’s dental needs.

Porcelain and CEREC Dental Crowns

We provide general dentistry with the latest technology and equipment. At Gold’s Source Dental, we offer a variety of full-coverage restorations, including CEREC and custom-crafted porcelain crowns. With iTero scanning, we can capture a 3D image of your teeth to get the process started for bridges as well.

A CEREC restoration, fabricated in our office during your appointment, blends into your existing smile, protecting your tooth from further damage or decay. We also offer lab-designed restorations, made of porcelain. For teeth that are more visible, these are an alternative that offers increased aesthetic results.

As with any porcelain restoration, there is always the chance of something fracturing if it is exposed to too much stress. Proper care and maintenance can help to prevent chipping or recurrent decay from developing around the margins of your new restoration.

Tooth Coloured Tooth Fillings

If you have a cavity, we offer exclusively mercury-free restorations, available in a vast array of tooth colours.

Dental Bridge or Dentures

Gaps in your smile can affect your confidence and oral health. At Dr. Gold’s Source Dental, we offer bridges and dentures that restore the appearance and function of your missing teeth. Along with traditional tooth replacements, we also offer implant-supported prosthetics for a more durable restoration.

If you already wear dentures but don’t like the way they fit, often we can retrofit your existing appliance to “snap” into dental implants.

Failing to remove your denture regularly could result in unnecessary bone loss and soft tissue infections, causing discomfort and an ill-fitting prosthesis.

Tooth Replacement With Dental Implants

For patients missing one or more teeth, our dentists may recommend dental implants to improve your appearance, oral function, and health. We use Cone Beam scanning to aid the placement and results of your surgery.

A dental implant is a titanium post, which acts as a tooth root once placed in your jaw. From this support, we can anchor a single tooth. With as few as 4 implants, we can secure a denture arch. Choose from traditional or mini implants to anchor your prosthetic teeth.

Without proper oral hygiene, it is possible for the implant to fail, due to peri-implantitis infections. Fortunately, a well-maintained implant has about a 98% success rate, with 2% of implants failing due to infection, faulty placement, or unknown reasons.

Wisdom Teeth Extractions

If you’re suffering from impacted 3rd molars (wisdom teeth), our experienced dentists can remove them, preserving and improving your oral health. We offer IV sedation, to increase your comfort during surgery.

Surgical procedures such as simple and complex dental extractions under the use of local anesthesia should be performed with caution. Neighboring nerve tissues, under rare circumstances, may become temporarily or permanently damaged during the process.

Root Canals

Do you need endodontic therapy to save your tooth? Our dental team offers root canal therapy here in our practice, as well as same-day CEREC crowns to complete your treatment in one visit. If you’re feeling a little anxious, we also provide oral and nitrous gas sedation to help you relax.

Call our Oshawa office to schedule your appointment for one of our general dentistry services.

Healthy smiles start at home, and are made successful with the help of your family dentist.
